About the Author

When N.G. Abramson was a teenager, he made some pretty big mistakes. After turning his life around, he is now on a mission to help others do the same.

He is committed to helping  people take ownership of their past in a way that leaves them inspired and empowered.

With two master degrees—one in Criminal Justice and the other in Creative Writing—he works as an academic advisor at a large, public community college, helping students choose not only their classes and majors, but also their direction in life.

Based on the personal development work he’s done, Abramson is now broadening his reach to help people choose not only their direction in life, but also their experience of life.

He believes that all people can consciously and purposely choose their lives and live lives they love.

How the Book Works

The book is divided into three parts:

PART I:
Locked Inside
Your Head

Mental prison

Part I develops the main ideas of the book, exploring the relationship between our internal conversations and our mental prisons. In this part you’ll find out exactly why you are stuck where you are in life. The author begins with a story about his teenage years to illustrate how his internal conversations shaped his choices that caused him to get into the trouble he got into.

PART II:
Freeing Yourself From Your Mental Prisons

This part is about becoming more aware and responsible for your internal conversations, so you can free yourself from the mental prisons you’re in. Here you’ll discover seven keys to unlock the doors of your mental prisons and five practices to help you live a life you love.

Part III:
Going Beyond The Familiar – What’s Possible

Break the chains

In this part, you’ll find yourself in a discussion about what it means to create your life from possibility rather than from your history. You’ll see that you have powers you didn’t know you had. In fact, when you believe in yourself, step outside your comfort zone, and get the support you need, all sorts of things will become possible that had not been possible before.
